John B. ‘Jack’ Mowell is the owner/CEO of Mowell Financial Group, a southeast regional investment management and banking firm located in Tallahassee, Florida. In addition, Mr. Mowell serves as Chairman/Executive Director of Entegrion, Inc., Triangle Research Park, North Carolina, a bio-tech company involved in research and development of medical solutions relating to blood platelets, bleeding and bleeding disorders. Mr. Mowell also serves as Chairman of the Board of Aspen Avionics, Inc., Albuquerque, New Mexico, a leading provider of avionics display technologies for the general aviation market, and CEO of Beartooth Energy, a Montana based producer of oil and gas in the Bighorn Basin, adjacent to the well-known Bakken oil discovery.

Mr. Mowell served as Executive Chairman for EMS Technologies, a high-tech satellite/aeronautical communications company, which he recently sold to Honeywell, Inc., and previously served as CEO of Reflectone Inc., an international flight-simulation manufacturing and training company, which he sold to British Aerospace, PLC, London, UK. Mr. Mowell also served as the Governor’s two-term appointee as Chairman of the Florida State Board of Administration with pension fund assets exceeding $100 billion.

Mr. Mowell currently serves as Trustee of Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, where he holds an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Aviation. He is also founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Economic Club of Florida. He served as a US Naval Aviator, and is a graduate of the Wharton School of Commerce and Finance, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
